If you're getting the exact same PSU that Keen did (which I think is the same I bought) then you shouldn't have any problems with cable length.  Installing in the Obsidian 800D I only had one cable that was a tight fit.

On a side note Krig Corsair is in the process of releasing their Mid-Tower Obsidian Case.

Using my current 1TB western digital caviar black and hopefully my "complementary" copy of windows 7 from Virginia Tech still works

and its going to be closer to $1250 since I'm getting an aftermarket cooler from frozencpu.com

Got it finished up today...had to reseat the heatsink..temps weren't to my liking.  Then I got it to 3.8 GHz stable w/ HT with temps hitting ~70C during Intel Burn Test.  Not too bad I think.  Should get a little better once the AS5 is done its break in period (~200 hours).

This link should work for the pics...

http://picasaweb.google.com/105783361328524830938/August2010Build#

I ended up using the cpu power extension for the sake of cable management.

The gtx 460 didn't turn out to be that big.  Still plenty of room if I want to get another for SLI.

Also don't have a pic of it but there's an intake fan on the left side panel that blows over the 460.

And before anyone asks the amazing sc2 medic pic is here

the 460 is short lol and also what cpu cooler you using? those temps are pretty high for 3.8ghz mine was like that (i7 860 here) then i reseated it and now its like 25-28 idle at 4.11 ghz and around 50 at load in prime95(recommend this for stress testing over Intel burn test out of all the load testing programs what ever you want to call them Intel burn is the worst for actually stressing your computer)

....

just realized you guys are American scumbags lol Fahrenheit  Undecided sorry about that as far as i can remember 70 Fahrenheit isn't bad lol, why can't you guys give up and go to metric like normal country's meters>inches, the army uses kilometers why cant you  Roll Eyes

edit(like 3 or 4...): question: any of you guys ever been called a sepo?

ppl use Fahrenheit for comp temps?  Those are Celsius.  Idle right now at ~43C which is lower than what it was.  The cooler is a titan fenrir and I used arctic silver 5 which has about a 200 hour break in period so maybe the temps will go down.  I could also have gotten a chip from a bad batch.  They do seem high still but I'm not trying to reseat it a 3rd time.

From what I read at overclock.net and elsewhere the IBS is a faster way to check stability than P95 which is what I was after.

and no to your last question

yes IBS is fast but not necessarily entirely accurate Ive made "stable" with it and then bsoded in games if i get through like 4 hours of prime 95 i know its stable (unless you talk to those crazy people that insist on like 24 hour runs of prime lol) wait so you are from America right? why would you use Fahrenheit for half your stuff and then use Celsius for cpu temps that's just weird. anyway don't worry about that last question lol I imagine you don't know what it means anyway, its some very bad i don't know what you call it but its linked to "yank" --> "tank" ---> "septic tank" ----> "sepo"

I dunno I always have used C for comp temps so that's my reference.  In everyday life yes we use F but in school we used all 3 (or 4, K, C, F, R) and in the engineering world absolute scales are typically used.  It would be nice if the US switched to metric but obviously its not my choice ;p

edit: my o/c is at 1.18125V.  CPU-Z reports a vcore of 1.168... I didn't really mess with it once hitting 3.8 but think I can hit 4 and stick around 1.2V?.  Looking around only godmode chips seem to do anywhere close.

Yeah I tried and I'm way too lazy to spend the time slowly bumping up the voltage.  I'll stick with 3.8 until I feel otherwise
